Updating the Game

• NOTE: This method is only to be used if you already have installed and updated FFXI before. Confirmed working to update your game quickly when the server is updated to match new client versions.

1. Go to your FFXI Folder, C:\Program Files (x86)\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\Final Fantasy XI
2. Move/Delete VTABLE.DAT from the folder.
3. Run POL. Click “Check Files” and repair your files as usual.
4. Connect to Valhalla.

Sometimes after updating, it may state: “Failed to repair files. Please reinstall game.” It is safe to ignore this message.
