Starlight Celebration

The Starlight Celebration is Valhalla's winter event, which strides through two months: December and January! However, this event differs greatly from retail's version, and rewards players with much more! To get started, feel free to browse through this guide for all of your needs, or simply try it out in-game!

There's plenty to do! There are 4 Battlefields, 5 repeatable mini-games, 1 repeatable mini-event, 1 unrepeatable mini-events. All including rare augmented equipment and special rewards. Read below for further information on the contents of this event.

This little guy is in charge of this big event, as well as getting the Adventurers to and fro!
Talk to him in @mog2 if you're interested in teleporting directly to any of the Smilebringers or mini-game Moogles.
The fee for each teleport is as follows:

Obtaining a Galette des Rois (Primeval Brew)

1. Complete all of the mini-games and the mini-events.
2. Defeat all 3 Event BCNMs.
3. Click on the Gamer Moogler for Galette des Rois (Primeval Brew)!

There are 5 mini-games within the Starlight Celebration: Part 1. These are typically categorized due to the fact that they each have a time limit of 5 minutes to complete. Each of these mini-games will reward the player with a garment of Dream attire, and in some cases, Dream attire +1.

These mini-games may be repeated for Star Sprinkles and Crystal Dust, which are used as a currency for purchasing special event food in @mog2.
You may repeat each of these mini-games daily after midnight, CST.

*This mini-game is best attempted with your Character Models Displayed at a high value.

Moogle Magic has brought snow to Rabao!
The game here is to form the word “MOG” from the snow piles within 5 minutes.
Simple enough, right? Well, be careful, as removing snow makes it disappear for good, unless the event resets.
Once you've managed to spell “MOG” with the correct snow piles left over, you've won!
Go back the Moogle's Giftbox to obtain your reward: Dream Hat +1*!

*Do not throw your Dream Hat +1 away if you wish to obtain the version with augments later!

The moogles have set Melyon's sheep on the loose in Selbina!
The game here is to herd Mee and Baa to their stable within 5 seconds of each other, within 5 minutes.
Be careful though, as these sheep love to climb walls and over buildings!
Once you've navigated them both to the narrow passageway behind the Moogle by the shed, trigger the Destination behind it and you'll win!
Go back the Moogle's Giftbox to obtain your reward: Dream Mittens +1*!

*Do not throw your Dream Mittens +1 away if you wish to obtain the version with augments later!

The moogle in Mhaura is mighty mischievous!
The game here is to locate the Moogle as he relocates into 15 different spots in under 5 minutes.
It's basically hide-and-seek. This one can be quite hard to finish in time, if you don't use your resources!
Once you've found the Moogle in his final destination, you've won!
Go back the Moogle's Giftbox to obtain your reward: Dream Pants* or Dream Trousers* (gender-specific)!

*Do not throw your Dream Pants/Trousers away if you wish to obtain the +1 with augments later!

Time to decorate some trees in Kazham!
The game here is to manage to find 3 separate sets of 8 ornaments and decorate the treants in 5 minutes.
When you begin the mini-game, the first set of 8 ornaments (elemental Fewells) lying over the immediate main area, the Auction House, and the docks. Once you've gathered all 8 of the first set, trade all 8 to one of the 3 treants to decorate it. Once you've decorated a treant, the process begins again so that you can decorate the remaining 2 treants.
When all 3 treants have been decorated, you've won!
Go back the Moogle's Giftbox to obtain your reward: Dream Boots +1*!

*Do not throw your Dream Boots +1 away if you wish to obtain the version with augments later!

The Moogle in Norg needs your help whipping some slackin' turtles into shape!
The game here is to help 5 Adamantoise hatchlings reach the same destination within 10 seconds of each other, within 5 minutes.
These little turtles love to take breathers, so be sure to smack 'em good to get them out of their shells! It's important to note that these hatchlings increase their speed each time you smack them. However, their speed reaches its limit relatively quickly.
When all 5 hatchlings have managed to cross the finish line within 10 seconds of each other, you win!
Go back the Moogle's Giftbox to obtain your reward: Dream Robe*!

*Do not throw your Dream Robe away if you wish to obtain the +1 with augments later!

These are generally more expansive events than the mini-games, and either cover quite a lot of areas and/or simply do not have time limits. You're free to do these in your own leisure, so accept them when you can!

The Smilebringers are here to spread joy to the children through gift-giving!
That is, until their stocks of kiddie presents were stolen. They need your help!

1. Navigate to any of the areas of Ronfaure, Gustaberg, or Sarutabaruta and search out the Pseudo-Santa running amok!
   
2. Retrieve a stolen Kiddie Present item.
   
3. Trade the Kiddie Present item to all of the children in cities and towns.
   There are a total of 124 children.
   Children NPCs can be found in San d'Oria, Bastok, Windurst, Jeuno, Selbina, Mhaura, Kazham, and Norg.
   Item will stay in your inventory for unlimited uses.
   
4. Return to any Smilebringer NPC for a reward!

Check Quest Status
You may use the @starlight or @star command to check your progress for the area that you're currently in.

This mini-event is rather unique for the Starlight Celebration, as it is somewhat another mini-game, but with no time limit and no daily reset.
It can be repeated as many times as you like.

However!
You must figure this one out on your own–the game itself and the purpose of it!
Do not worry, though, as any Job can undertake this task!

Rewards: Star Sprinkles & Crystal Dust. Additional Gil (amount varies).

There are 6 custom battlefields that offer unique winter themed challenges with rare rewards!
Get started by speaking to the Starlight Helper in the Mog Garden cove (@mog2) or the Dungeon Proprietor in Leafallia (@leaf).

Available Battlefields:

Use the Teleport NPC in the Mog Garden to travel to the BCNM Entrance.

The more people that join, the bigger the reward will be when the NM is defeated!
Get large amounts of Experience Points, extra seals/crests, and individual rewards.

Talk to the Treasure Chest npc after defeating a BCNM for your reward!
Use the Crystal Dust to exchange for additional prizes in the Mog Garden for augmented gear, Excalipoor II, and more!

BCNMs are repeatable for an unlimited number of times.

Star Sprinkles are used to exchange for event items below. They can be acquired in a number of ways.

• Participate in mini-events
• Defeating Event BCNMs
• If you can somehow manage to defeat Pseudo-Santa, then he drops some as well–among a few other goodies!

Star Sprinkles may be traded to the chests under the tree in @mog2 to obtain special event food.
Here's what you can purchase:

Obtain special Starlight Celebration mog house furnishings related to the wintery holidays!

This unfriendly being can be found in the Mog Garden, should you run across him.
He can drop a couple of things you may not find anywhere else!
Defeat monsters in the Mog Garden for a chance to spawn him.


Drops:

This misguided soul runs at top speed in several zones and throws presents behind him; with no shred of malice towards aggressive adventurers.
Pseudo-Santa can be difficult to defeat–should you intend to do so. There is no requirement to defeat him, should you wish to acquire all of the Starlight Celebration rewards.
However, he does drop items as a “trophy” upon his defeat.

Pseudo-Santa runs from zone to zone in each region.
You may find him running a path between two of the following zones:
West Ronfaure ←→ East Ronfaure
North Gustaberg ←→ South Gustaberg
East Sarutabaruta ←→ West Sarutabaruta

He will only exist in one of the two zones at the same time. For example, if he's not in West Ronfaure, he will be in East Ronfaure, and vice versa.

Drops:

Clicking on a present that Pseudo-Stanta drops while Dream gear is equipped will provide an upgraded version.
